You know, a philosophy that I adhere to is starting with the little things. It all stems from the basics and from the things that you think are unimportant (like appropriate air pressure). People have a tendency to not care about the little things, but they forget that everything is a sum of it's parts.

Thanks for pointing out the little things, as well as some bigger tips, to some of us who may not realize how much of a difference such things can make.

It is true that most cars have a magic number, but most cars also become gas eaters at higher speeds. There is too much in considerations, but overall gas is reduce at higher speed for all cars.

I have to agree here with jeff - my own experience of my car tells me that if I drive at 65 mph I use more fuel than at 70mph, after that it drops considerably. There's a magic number for all cars, though your tips are really useful starting points. A few things I didn't know too - like finding the optimum revs for your car. Cheers, Dan.

I really like my Accord, I always try and keep it within a good amount of RPMs. It also has a 3 gear and 4 gear option which really helps when trying to save money on gas.
